May 15 is "Bike To Work Day" in San Francisco and I participated in it. I have actually stopped cycling to work for the past few weeks back due to various reasons. One of which is that my pinkie is healing and I did not want to aggravate it (although I think it is more due to laziness).
Apart from that, riding to work from Berkeley requires me to bring the bike into the BART train. Pushing a bicycle into a train car packed with people on a weekday is no joke. For the most part, people give you dirty looks.
Now that I move back to the city, it is definitely more enticing to ride to work. No better day to start than today!
Apparently there are people giving out those stickers and goodie bags to bikers. Tim, one of my coworkers, actually had one of those stickers on him proclaiming that he rode to work. Too bad I did not manage to ride past any of those! I promised Tim that he would be credited for allowing me to take that photo.
