When was the last time you saw a keyboard that is blank? And by blank, I mean there are no inscriptions on all the keys. Zilch. Nada. Just good old plain keys.

Meet the Das Keyboard Ultimate.

Das Keyboard

Sporting a Darth Vader approved black closure, the Das Keyboard Ultimate uses german-engineered key switches. A coworker has one; I tried typing with it and it had me at first click. The tactile and audio feedback from each keystroke is strangely alluring. Each resounding "tack" is music to the ears as you work your fingers furiously on the keyboard... felt as though you are playing a musical instrument. Well... in a geek sense of course.

The blank keyboard is designed to with help users memorize every character location. I would imagine that the initial few days will be horrifying but I can see how that would help someone type better.

Seriously contemplating getting one.

Very sexy.

Sort of like the back of the hand sort of thing. Reflexively knowing what 'tack' makes the right impression on screen.
