Every now and then, we need a fresh coat of paint to cover up the monotony of life. A brand new look as some might say. It is raw, plain and ugly but somehow I like it. Whether this new look will be permanent, I do not really know for sure. For now, I think it gives me a good base to work from.

I have not been posting as regularly as I would like to. As usual, there are always reasons for that. No suprises that work is the main culprit. I have been really busy with a huge project and it has just recently been launched so I get a breather. There was also a bit of traveling within California. Over the two months, I have had 4 different groups of friends visiting. Naturally I played host and every weekend was just moving from places to places.

Even though I knew San Francisco enough to navigate around, I was pretty much a tourist myself. Everything was still new to me and I had my fair share of fun exploring various spots with them. With each group, my tours became better and more interesting as I learn of more places to explore.

From the two months, I have explored Big Sur, Yosemite, Sonoma, Los Angeles and little nooks within San Francisco. In between, I have had good food and memorable experiences: an orchestra concert, a mysterious concrete slide hidden in San Francisco, wine tasting, great weather and breath-taking mother nature.

So naturally, time eluded me and I was not able to update the site. After 2 months of inactivity on the site, I am now back and toying with the idea of having a really plain jane look, focusing more on usability and readability. At the same time, I am exploring a different approach to building this site so be patient and stay tuned. Instead of going for a full revamp, I am trying out a whole new style of crafting the site. In the weeks to come, the site will be updated piece-meal style, bit by bit and byte by byte. Consider it a reward for the true fans out there who actually religiously visit this site, you will be the ones who can see the daily updates!
